18 ELECTION ACTIVITIES FOR YOU AND YOUR UNDER 18-YEAR-OLD
In the 2000 presidential election more than 15 million women 18 to 34 did not vote. Help ensure that your daughter or any young woman close to you will not contribute to this trend, by taking her with you when you vote. According to public research center, CIRCLE, “Whether or not parents discuss politics with their kids, take their kids with them to vote, and vote regularly is highly correlated with whether their kids will also engage in political life.” So when you hit the polls this election Day, don’t do it solo. Bring along a girl or young woman and help her become an active participant in our democracy.
