Grantmaker Forum for Community & NATIONAL SERVICE REINVENTS ITSELF
For the past eleven years the Grantmaker Forum on Community & National Service has worked to provide leadership and information about the value of service and volunteering, and has encouraged private and public investment in the field as means of strengthening communities and building a healthy democracy. One notable result of their past work is that today there are several excellent national nonprofit organizations devoted to advocating for service and volunteering.
The Grantmaker Forum on Community & National Service has renamed itself PACE – PHILANTHROPY FOR ACTIVE CIVIC ENGAGEMENT. PACE is an association of grantmakers and donors who are committed to improving the effectiveness and impact of our investments in civic and community engagement. PACE is committed to helping philanthropy better understand the strategies that foster increased civic and community engagement.
