State of the Nation’s Housing Report

The 2004 State of the Nation’s Housing Report, a new report published by the Harvard University Joint Center for Housing Studies, reveals that despite continued job losses in 2003, the lowest mortgage interest rates in over 45 years kept housing strong. The report touches on the role of minorities in housing’s future. Minorities accounted for 27 percent of households in 2003 and are projected to contribute at least two-thirds of net household growth in the coming decades.
