Posted by on April 23, 2004
PathWaysPA (formerly Women’s Association for Women’s Alternatives) is offering FREE educational sessions for staff of Philadelphia-area nonprofit organizations that help people with low incomes to work toward self-sufficiency. Sessions are also offered to clients. PathWaysPA offers a variety of sessions, teaching direct service workers, community leaders and clients how to use the Pennsylvania Family Self- Sufficiency (PA FESS) materials as well as other “money mentoring” workshops. Workshops include: discussion of career planning for persons new to the workforce, public benefits and private resources for increasing income and a introduction to an innovative web-based tool for assessing economic self-sufficiency.
