Handbook of Community-Based Education: Theory and Practices by Henk Schmidt, Mohi Magzoub, Grahame Feletti, Zohair Nooman and Pauline Vluggen.
This book is, as the title already implies, about a form of education for the health professions called “community-based education (CBE).” It can be considered a first comprehensive account on the theory, the practices, and the outcomes of this kind of training. This book is about the “why” and the “how” of CBE, and constitutes, in our view, a rich source of ideas that may guide faculty and students engaged in it.
