Environmental advocacy web-site launch
The Environmental Advocacy Project supports effective advocacy through education and training, resources, capacity building and research. In recent months, the project team has worked with non-government groups including the Queensland Conservation Council and Friends of the Earth to run a series of workshops for environmental and social justice advocates. Forthcoming events include an Environmental Dispute Resolution workshop (25/10) and support for the Reflect, Respect, & React symposium series (27/9-3/10). With the support of Griffith University and several environment groups, the project also incorporates a postgraduate course and internship scheme. Now, we are pleased to announce the launch of the environmentaladvocacy.org web-site. The site is dedicated to advocacy education and research. It provides a clearinghouse of advocacy-related resources including case studies and web-links. Advocacy research, the emerging fifth element of the project, will include case studies and critical/reflective anecdotes of environmental campaigns. We welcome your comments, collaboration, ideas and reciprocal web links.
