Environmental Sustainability in Our Schools, Centers, and Selves
Posted by on January 5, 2009
For more than 30 years, the Massachusetts Environmental Education Society Conference has attracted participants with its innovative presentations, networking opportunities, informative exhibits, a pleasant atmosphere and excellent cuisine. The MEES Conference draws a diverse audience including classroom teachers from pre-school to college, museum staff, nature center staff, administrators, and community resource leaders. Join 300 of your fellow environmental educators and everyone who is dedicated to providing experiences that educate, excite, and commit all generations to conserve the environment and help them become responsible stewards.
This year’s theme is Environmental Sustainability in Our Schools, Centers, and Selves. Environmental sustainability is an important and timely topic, both locally and nationally. The term as used here refers to the potential longevity of vital human ecological systems, such as climate, agriculture, industry, forestry, and fisheries.
Review the workshops on our website, and then register online. If you have a MEES account (which you probably do if you have ever done business with us), please log-in before registering to minimize duplications. Note: The conference fee is $85. Register by January 16, 2009 to save $10. Full time student’s fee is $55. Please register and postmark checks and paper forms by the general deadline of February 6, 2009. Registration is first-come, first-served.
