“Evaluating Youth Participation in Out-Of-School Activities”
There is increasing evidence that youth participation in quality activities influences their academic and social outcomes, which, in turn, impact economic and occupational outcomes into adulthood. However, documenting the associations between youth outcomes and activity participation is challenging. This article examines some of the key indicators of program quality and suggests strategies for creating quality out-of-school activities.
