Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce the launching of the National Service-Learning and Civic Engagement Research Directory.
The web address is http://gse.berkeley.edu/research/slrdc/resdirectory.
The research directory is an aggregation of the search pages of primary online resources related to service-learning and civic engagement research in K-12 education, teacher education, and higher education. The search databases of these online sources are posted on a single page, providing a one-stop source for accessing available research information from various existing on-line
databases.
Accessible from the directory is information on:
1) service-learning and civic engagement research investigations currently underway;
2) funding opportunities and request for proposals for service-learning and civic engagement research;
3) job opportunities;
4) journals and periodicals that welcome research on service-learning and civic engagement; and
5) statistics and facts on service-learning and civic engagement.
The directory is links information from the major online sources including the National Service-Learning Clearinghouse, Campus Compact, National Center for Education Statistics, Community-Campus Partnership for Health, Learning InDeed, among other sites.
The research directory is brought to you by the Service-Learning Research and Development Center at the University of California-Berkeley, in partnership with Campus Compact. The directory is supported by a grant from the Spencer Foundation.
I hope you find this directory helpful to your work. I welcome your feedback on the directory as well as suggestions for additional links to include.
Best wishes for a happy holiday season.
Andy Furco
