Dear Colleagues:
To celebrate the release of Volume 9 Number 1 of the Michigan Journal of Community Service Learning (MJCSL), we are offering the following special:

With more than 6,000 copies in circulation, this course design workbook (64 pp.) may be the most widely-circulated service-learning publication in history.
As part of your volume 9 subscription, you will also receive a complimentary copy of a special, theme-based issue on “Community-Based Research,” funded by the Bonner Foundation, in May, 2003.
Abstracts for volume 9 number 1 may be viewed at the MJCSL web page: http://www.umich.edu/~mjcsl/. The lead article, “Factors that Motivate and Deter Faculty Use of Service-Learning,” by Elisa Abes, Golden Jackson, and Susan Jones, may be downloaded from the web page.
Currently there are 1700 subscribers to this national, peer-reviewed journal devoted to curriculum-based service-learning in higher education.
