New Booklet for Educators: Philadelphia K-16 Curriculum Alignment
Posted by on September 6, 2002
The Office of School & Community Partnerships at Temple University, in partnership with Philadelphia GEAR UP, has recently developed “Agreeing on What Matters.” This booklet contains preliminary findings resulting from the efforts of a wide cross-section of Philadelphia educators to identify gaps in the city’s K-16 public education system; college-readiness resources for teachers, counselors, parents, and students; and research on the predictive validity of the SAT-9 (a primary standardized test that has been used in Philadelphia schools.) This booklet should be of value to a wide cross-section of educators and to all those who have an interest and a stake in public education in Philadelphia.
