UW host e-philanthropy seminar

The ePhilanthropy Foundation estimates that total online giving in the United States in 2006 reached approximately $6.87 Billion (USD). United Ways of the Delaware Valley is bring the Foundation?s national eTour, which teaches you how to utilize the Internet to get individuals and major donors to send their support to your nonprofit, to the region in November.

UWDV, which includes all of the United Ways in southeastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, will bring the Nonprofit Internet Strategies Seminar (aka eTour) to Philadelphia on Friday, November 16, 2007. The half-day seminar will take place from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Lobby Rooms 2 & 3, 7 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19103

In an effort to educate nonprofit executives, board members and staff, the ePhilanthropy Foundation is also offering a free guest registration with each paid registration for use by an individual from an organization?s leadership.

At the seminar, participants will learn the most up-to-date techniques, strategies and case studies in online philanthropy. The trainers who conduct the seminars offer unique perspectives polished by years of hands-on experience and instruction and provide nonprofit fundraisers with the tools they need to shape their organization’s ePhilanthropy efforts. The course is also based on the ePhilanthropy Foundation’s book Nonprofit Internet Strategies which is available for purchase with registration.

Topics to be covered in the seminar include:
— The Power of the Internet for Fundraising, Marketing, Communications and Advocacy, presented by Ted Hart, President and CEO, ePhilanthropy Foundation
— Website Evolution ? How to Know When It?s Time to Grow, presented by Leanne Bergey, President and Founder, Verve Internet Solutions;
— An Integrated Approach ? The Key to Success Online, presented by Chris Krackeler, Director of Sales, Convio, Inc.
