Badge of Honor: breaking the prison cycle
Temple University?s Tyler Community Arts Partnership Program in collaboration with Centro Pedro Claver, The Lighthouse and Las Gallas Artists Collective invites you to the opening of Badge of Honor, an arts & education project connecting students, families, artists, local mentors, and community agencies working to break the cycle of incarceration. On April 26, 2007 from 5:30-9PM participants will celebrate the culmination of this project at the Lighthouse, 152 E. Lehigh Avenue, with documentation of multiple installations of student work in family homes, the reconstruction of Osorio?s installation work, Badge of Honor, originally created in 1985, and a performance at 7:00 PM by the local performance collaborative/mentor group, Las Gallas Artist Collective.
