Social Justice Student Activists’ Forum
Posted by on January 12, 2009
The Philadelphia area has more colleges and social justice energy than almost anywhere in the US: Let’s share ideas and maybe work together! Cabrini College invites students to come to a Social Justice Student Activists’ Forum on Thursday, January 29 from 6 to 8 PM on the Cabrini campus in Radnor PA. Special focus on FAIR TRADE, but program-sharing on other issues (hunger, migration, racism) also welcome. As partner campuses of Catholic Relief Services (http://www.crs.org) , Cabrini College and Villanova University have ideas (especially regarding global issues) we are eager to share.
Each participating campus is asked to contact Mary Laver (mlaver@cabrini.edu 610-902-8409) or Jessica Zawrotny (jlz723@cabrini.edu) to register student names and topics/programs you will present. Each campus will have 5-10 minutes on stage to showcase their “best programs” using a short power-point (BYO flash drive) or poster. Enjoy a pizza dinner, “fair trade banana splits,” and great contacts!
