Founder?s Day Tradition:
During and after her active years on campus, Cabrini College observed the birthday of our founder,Sr. Ursula Infante, MSC (1897-2001), with a special gathering each year. In the years since her death, Cabrini College has marked Founder?s Day (a ?moveable feast? in February) with a presentation by a scholar/ activist who embodies the Cabrinian legacy of making the love of God visible through active social justice work in the world.

In 2005, the campus welcomed immigration-rights activist Jim Claffey of the Farmington (Long Island NY) community. In 2006, death penalty abolitionist and world-renown educator Sr. Helen Prejean was honored. In 2007, reflecting the faculty?s cross-disciplinary focus on environmental issues this year, Cabrini College will honor Dr. Robert Bullard, whose ground-breaking work on the connection between environmental pollution and institutional racism is awakening communities and changing policies across the U.S. for the Common Good of all.
