About The Glass Castle
This memoir chronicles the life of MSNBC columnist Jeannette Walls who endured a poverty filled, nomadic childhood with parents struggling with alcoholism, gambling addiction and mental health issues. Walls eventually moved to New York, attended Barnard and began rising up the journalistic ranks. This is a story of triumph against all odds, but also a tender, moving tale of unconditional love in a family that despite its profound challenges gave her the fiery determination to carve out a successful life on her own terms.
