JANET POPPENDIECK, Professor of Sociology at Hunter College, University of New York, author of SWEET CHARITY? EMERGENCY FOOD AND THE END OF ENTITLEMENT

You are also welcome to attend an earlier open meeting of an acadmically based community service seminar on the Politics of Food with Janet Poppendieck, where students will present a discussion of their work on two projects: an initiative to improve school lunch at Sayre High School and the Coalition Against Hunger’s Food Stamp Campaign from 3:30-5pm on Nov. 8 at the Newman Center.
