August Admissions Workshops

Dear College Admission Professional,
The Professional Development Committee of PACAC is excited to announce that they will once again be offering the August Admission Workshops for new admission professionals, mid-level admission counselors and secondary school counselors at Gettysburg College Monday, August 14th and Tuesday, August 15th.
Monday, August 14th, the workshop for New Admission Counselors is designed to introduce recent hires to the profession and fellow professionals.
Topics will include:
Travel Tips, Working with Secondary School Counselors, Professionalism, Presentation and Interviewing Skills, Networking and Professional Development, Non-traditional Student Recruiting
Tuesday, August 15th, the workshop for Mid-Level Admission Counselors (2-4 years experience) and Secondary School Counselors is designed to bring professionals together in conversation, but focus on key topics for individuals.
Topics will include:
Understanding Enrollment Management, Use of Data and Technology, Effective Communication, Time Management, Making a Career in College Admission, The College Search & Application Process (course selection, finding fit, writing the essay, writing a recommendation), Communicating with Colleges, Understanding the Selection Process, Admissions & Financial Aid (ED, EA, FAFSA, etc)
