Anti-Violence Summit

You are cordially invited to attend The Philadelphia Black Public Issues Forum’s First Anti-Violence Summit.

When: July 16th 2006

Time: 2pm to 4pm

Where: Church of the Advocate 18th & Fr. Paul M. Washington Ave. (Diamond St.) Philadelphia, PA

Who: Presented by The House of Umoja, Concerned Men of Courage and Commitment, The Father Paul M. Washington Community Committee, The Cecil B. Moore Community Foundation, Men United Against Violence and Stop The Violence/Stop The Madness.

All persons, businesses, groups and organizations who are interested in forming an area-wide coalition to aggressively attack the escalating problems of violence in our communities are encouraged to attend.

All attending will be asked to sign a pledge to set aside personal and organizational differences to unite and pool knowledge, resources and information in order to solve these problems as soon as possible.

Do not be discouraged if you do not see an immediate function you or your particular talent/skill, group, business or organization can serve in this coalition, as we formulate and grow, there will be need for just about everything to achieve our goal of healthy communities.

You should not miss this very important first gathering.

Organizations should send representatives with the authority to make a decision to sign on to this effort.

We encourage you to set up an information table at the Block Party on Saturday (the day before) for your group or organization.
