Mediation training

Mediation is a process in which an impartial third person facilitates a conversation between or among people in conflict. The process gives each party the opportunity to hear the other?s concerns and then work on a mutually agreeable resolution.
SEMINAR CONTENT
This introductory training is designed for anyone who is interested in learning or developing skills in conflict resolution. Attorneys, social workers, administrators, clergy, health care professionals, counselors, psychologists, teachers, youth workers and others who need to intervene in conflicts will benefit from this seminar.
Participants learn the mediation process through a collaborative problem-solving model. This training is highly interactive and highlights the concepts, strategies and skills effective in resolving conflict including, demonstrations by the instructors and several simulated practice sessions, in which participants can practice.
