“Education for Liberation: Black Students, Black Colleges, and the Black Freedom Struggle.”

Dr. Williamson is an education historian whose expertise is in the area of race, ideology and educational reform. Her special focus is on race- and class-based educational policy changes since the 1950s, their origins and outcomes, with particular attention given to the impact of social movements on university campuses across the United States.
