Local Coop leaders discuss how ‘cooperation’ is transforming our communities. What we can learn about bringing cooperative practices to our businesses and community?

Format: There will be 30 minutes of networking with refreshments, from 6:30PM to 7:00PM, then the panel at 7:00PM, with Q&A, and then additional networking at the end until 8:30PM.

Speaker Panel will include:

* Nadia Adawi – Director of Operations, *THE ENERGY COOPERATIVE* – over 5000 members
* Glenn Bergman – General Manager *WEAVERS WAY COOP* – over 3000 family-members
* Jill Fink and Angie Vendetti – Co-owners *MUGSHOTS* Coffee House – among the founding members of Independents Coffee Cooperative, a coop of local, independently owned coffeehouses serving fair-trade coffee
* Paul Glover – *PHILAHEALTHIA*, a cooperative health plan for Philadelphia – Paul Glover is an urban designer who founded Citizen Planners of Los Angeles, Ithaca HOURS local currency, the Ithaca Health Alliance and other community-based programs. His most recent initiative is PhilaHealthia, a co-op health plan exemplary of the Health Democracy movement (healthdemocracy.org)
* Kate Smith – *KEYSTONE DEVELOPMENT CENTER* – providing technical assistance to coops in the Mid-Atlantic states
