Posted by on January 27, 2006
It was the days of JFK, Selma, Malcolm X, and Martin Luther King. Please join us for Sonia Sanchez?s retrospective, ?Coming of Age in the 1960s? on Tuesday, February 21st from 7 ? 8:30 p.m. at Musser Auditorium on the Penn State Great Valley campus.
Deemed ?a lion in literature?s forest? by poet Maya Angelou, Ms. Sanchez experienced the ?60s from both an integrationist and a separatist?s perspective, and over the years has lectured widely on the societal changes this era brought to America.
Sponsored by the Diversity Action Council at Penn State Great Valley, this lecture promises a nostalgic and thought-provoking evening with an award-winning poet and playwright.
