2nd Annual Set the Pace to Educate
5K Run, Walk and Pet ‘n’ Pal Stroll
October 15, 2005, 8:30 a.m.
Martin Luther King Drive (formerly West River Drive)
Rain or Shine
Appearances by NBC 10’s Amy Freeze (a runner) and Fox 29’s Don Tollefson (a dog owner and lover)
People should expect fun! Lots of snacks, drinks, long-sleeved t-shirts and water bottles in the goody bags for the first 300 registrants. It’s a well-organized, exciting event that results in scholarships and programs for students who need them (we give away about $200,000/year in scholarships).
This event is for: Dog lovers, runners, walkers, those who believe in and want to support scholarships and programs at Philadelphia’s only public institution of post-secondary education, alumni, faculty, students — Philadelphians!
Directions:
Drive just past the Philadelphia Museum of Art and park in the circle in front of the Museum. Martin Luther King Drive is just west of the Museum — you won’t be able to miss us!
