The Campolo School for Social Change at Eastern University invites you to its Fall Residency. This year’s residency will feature guest speakers Tom and Christine Sine, co-founders of Mustard Seed Associates (http://www.msainfo.org) and adjunct professors for Fuller Theological Seminary in Seattle. Tom Sine’s most recent book, Mustard seed vs. McWorld: Reinventing Life and Faith for the Future, is a thought-provoking resource for students, leaders and activists alike.
Today’s world changes quickly. Are churches keeping up or caught up by mindsets, aspirations and values of globalization that appear diametrically opposed to church values? Lectures and discussion will examine trends and map out ways to re-invent community and the mission of urban transformation for the future. We’ll examine churches, groups and individuals who model options for living and carry out missions in ways that challenge globalized values.
