Woman One Award: A Ceremony of Champions

Funding medical school scholarships for underrepresented minority women.
Proceeds raised from the event will be used to fund scholarships for talented minority women to attend Drexel University College of Medicine. Additional grants from Woman One will be made for special research in women?s health and, in 2005, to the Dawn Staley Foundation. Institute for Women?s Health and Leadership ? Lynn Yeakel, Director The Institute advances women?s health through education, leadership development, clinical care, research and public awareness. The Institute has earned a designation from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as a National Center of Excellence in Women?s Health. The Institute is also home to America?s finest collection of documents and artifacts on the history of women in medicine?the Institute is the creator of the Woman One Award.
