Free Vision Screenings at Around the World Fair

Posted by on March 25, 2005

The Junior League has teamed up with Vision Service (VSP), the nation’s largest provider of eye care benefits, to provide area children with vision screenings and help make the connections between good vision and literacy through fun and educational activities in an “Around the World” fair.

The project will be held on April 9, 2005, at the Washington Community Center on the campus of the Church of the Advocate, 1801 West Diamond Street, Philadelphia, PA between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Children 18 and younger can receive a free vision screening from Pennsylvania College of Optometry doctors and optometric interns during the event. Qualified low-income, uninsured children identified as needing additional care will receive a free glasses through VSP’s Sight for Students Program.
