Philadelphia?s first annual CityStep Show!
CityStep is a University of Pennsylvania-based public service program that brings a dance-theatre curriculum into West Philadelphia middle schools to foster self-esteem, promote teamwork, and encourage creative self-expression. The year-long collaborative curriculum culminates in a unique performance featuring completely original music and choreography based around a theme ? this year?s is Philadelphia murals.
Please join us for an evening celebrating CityStep?s first year of partnership between Penn and West Philly and the middle school and university students whose dedication makes this program possible!
You are cordially invited to the opening night performance of the first annual CityStep Show on Friday April 29th at the Iron Gate Theatre. There will be a short reception preceding the performance where you will have the chance to learn more about CityStep and meet those involved with the program.
