Budgets, foundations, direct mail, special events . . . How do these things relate to your organizing work? How can your organization raise the money it needs, and what is an effective fundraising program? Session One will discuss the fundamentals of fundraising and how they relate to your organizing work. This workshop will present a variety of methods and provide clarity about using the best strategies for effective organizing/fundraising. Session Two will explore ways to determine the best fundraising strategies for your group — as well as how to evaluate those strategies and to learn from successes and challenges. Participants will leave with tools to begin the process of developing an effective fundraising plan for their organization.
Note: Participants are encouraged to attend both sessions in this series. These workshops are designed to provide an overview, and will not emphasize developing an individual major donor base.
