Upcoming Resource Center Orientations

The Out-of-School Time Resource Center (OSTRC), at the University of Pennsylvania, has identified and helped organize orientations to four
physical resource centers. Each orientation will be conducted on-site, will include hands-on participation, will provide take-home materials, and requires pre-registration.

*Penn-Merck at the University of Pennsylvania: University City, Philadelphia
*RESOURCE CENTER DESCRIPTION: The Penn-Merck Resource Center offers a library of books containing activity ideas in physics, biology, chemistry, geology and engineering many which can be carried out using everyday materials. Also at Penn-Merck are nationally-developed standards-based science kits.

*Southeastern Pennsylvania School Age Child Care Project in Narberth, Pennsylvania
*RESOURCE CENTER DESCRIPTION: The School-Age Project’s library is one of the largest collections of after-school resources in the country. It includes curricula, research, databases and directories as well recently published materials and Internet sources of free information.

*Northwest Interfaith Movement: West Mt. Airy, Philadelphia
*RESOURCE CENTER DESCRIPTION: NIM has a multi-dimentional, multi-use resource center which includes curriculum materials, loan boxes, arts and crafts supplies, educational toys, recycled materials, a laminating machine, and more.
