Wellstone Civic Dialogue Project
Thursday, February 5 7pm
at the A-Space
4722 Baltimore Avenue (#34 Green Trolley to Baltimore and 47th)
A national night of discussion of Senator Paul Wellstone?s book Conscience of a Liberal.
Discussion Topic: Can We Dream Again?
Many of us are alienated by the current state of politics in our communities and in the nation. The debate among politicians and media personalities is often shrill, one-sided and exaggerated. It is easy to feel discouraged, ignored, alienated, immobilized and fearful that the important issues are not being addressed. We don?t feel anyone speaks for us our about our concerns. And we aren?t sure what to do about it.
On February 5, people across the nation are gathering in their communities to share their own ideas about how to move our country in a more progressive and humane direction. In this discussion, we will focus on what values, issues and commitments are important to you, and what role citizens can play in creating solutions.
Sponsored by Wellstone Action and organized by thousands of volunteers across he country. http://www.wellstone.org
