Training: Neighborhood Information System
Posted by on September 12, 2003
Do you need detailed information about a specific property in your neighborhood? Are you looking for data to help write grants? Ever wanted to view Philadelphia data on a quick, detailed, and interactive system?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions you should attend a free hour-long training at the University of Pennsylvania about the Philadelphia Neighborhood Information System. The NIS is designed to help community-based organizations, government agencies, researchers and concerned individuals in their efforts to analyze, transform and revitalize Philadelphia neighborhoods.
You can learn more about and preview NIS at our website: http://cml.upenn.edu/nis.
The Cartographic Modeling Lab will be holding three trainings on parcelBase, neighborhoodBase, and muralBase on the follow dates:
Wednesday, September 17th from 10-11am
Wednesday, September 24th from 6-7pm
There is no cost for the training, however space is limited so pre-registration is required. If you would like to register for training please e-mail Bradley Breuer, NIS Outreach Coordinator, at bbreuer@sas.upenn.edu and include your name, organization, contact information, and your preferred training date. We hope to see you in one of our upcoming trainings.
