Women’s Health Symposium: Student Scholarships Available

On June 12th Drexel University’s Institute for Women’s Health and Leadership will host a symposium entitled “A Conversation on Women, Health and Leadership: Why Diversity in Medicine Makes a Difference.” This event will take place at the Bellevue (Broad and Walnut Streets, Philadelphia) at 3:30 just prior to a major award ceremony honoring Estelle Richman with the “Woman One” Award from Drexel/MCP’s Institute for Women’s Health and Leadership.
The symposium will be a Conversation among Estelle, Ana Nunez, Director of the Women’s Health Education Program, Drexel College of Medicine, Vivian Pinn, Director of the Office of Research on Women’s Health, National Institutes of Health, Katherine Sherif, Director of the Center for Women’s Health, Drexel College of Medicine, and the audience, moderated by Lynn Yeakel, Director, Institute for Women’s Health and Leadership.
We are looking for 100 outstanding young women (high school through grad school) who are interested in pursuing careers in the health fields, and we were hoping you could spread the word to your member agencies (or even nominate students yourself). These women will be invited the symposium and are also each being sponsored to stay for the Award Ceremony and Reception following.
