Hunger Banquet to Benefit Homeless Engagement Center

National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is designed to raise awareness and action on the problems of hunger and homelessness both locally, nationally and internationally. This year Project H.O.M.E. and Horizon House are holding a hunger banquet at Arch St. United Methodist Church in Center City Philadelphia. Though some who attend this unusual banquet will have empty stomaches all with gain a new perspective on world hunger. Sister Mary Scullion, executive director of Project H.O.M.E. will be speaking about hunger and homelessness.
When: Tuesday November 19, 2002. Beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Who: This event is open to all concerned with issues of poverty, hunger and homelessness.
Where: Arch Street United Methodist Church on the corner of Broad and Arch Streets in center city Philadelphia.
Cost: Five dollars. Proceeds and donations from the dinner go to The Homeless Engagement Center.
