Safe Motherhood

Join the Maternity Care Coalition on Tuesday June 4 for the third part of our Professional Education Series, 2002, “Safe Motherhood: Life Savers for the Life Giver.”
This session will showcase the Safe Motherhood framework for understanding maternal and child health. Presenters will discuss efforts to improve women’s health and well-being during pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting. Topics include maternal mortality and morbidity; HIV/AIDS and perinatal transmission; domestic violence; sexually transmitted infections; and postpartum depression.
