Quarterly PHENND Meeting: Service-Learning Faculty Development
Tuesday, October 10
9:00AM – 12:00 PM
Widener University
Room 108, Quick Center
13th & Walnut Streets, Chester, PA
The Quarterly PHENND Meeting is a chance for the entire PHENND Network to get together to share ideas, events, difficulties, etc. It is also a time to hear from PHENND Director Hillary Aisenstein about her activities and opportunities for partnership.
The theme for this meeting will be “Service-Learning Faculty Development.” We will hear from local colleges and universities with model programs that engage faculty in service-learning course development. Dr. Marcine Pickron-Davis and Dr. Arlene Dowshen or Widener University will give a presentation about Widener University’s Academic Service-Learning Faculty Development Program. They will also discuss their successes and challenges. Charlotte Ryan of Neumann College will also speak about the success of her institution’s faculty development efforts.
PHENND will also unveil an RFP for “Institutionalization of Service-Learning” which will fund six PHENND Member institutions to improve and expand service-learning opportunities.
To RSVP, email Hillary Aisenstein at hillarya@pobox.upenn.edu.
