Alternative Spring Break in “Latino” Philadelphia – A Seed On Diamond/Semilla: Live and work in community for a week with other students and faculty interested in supporting awesome artwork, urban community gardening, youth development, and social justice! Week will include: Artwork preparation, painting, work on community gardens, meetings with community leaders, youth and participants; nightly program and reflections on work and learning, potentially life-transforming moments…
When: Spring Break = Sat. March 15 – Fri. March 21
Where: Diamond Street, Norris Square, North Philadelphia
Who: West Chester University and other local university Students, Organized by West Chester University students Meghan Cox, Marcie Cohen, Yheralis Lantigua, WCU Political Science and Social Work Professors Linda Stevenson, and Travis Ingersoll, and WCU Director of Service Learning Jodi Roth.

APPLICATIONS ARE DUE FEBRUARY 28, 2014, or until all spots are filled.
Interviews and Orientation Meetings will take place in early March.
