NOTICE OF POSITION VACANCY

PART-TIME PERMANENT CALENDAR YEAR POSITION

POSITION: PART-TIME DATA CLERK

DEPARTMENT: CONTINUING STUDIES

Note: This position works 24 hours per week, Monday through Thursday 10am-5pm, and will be required to work evenings during the start of Continuing Education each semester. This position is not eligible for benefits.

This position reports to the CS Associate Dean. The Part-time Data Clerk will:

• Assist/receive walk-in customers with registration
• Answer phones, intake phone registration, light program advising
• Answer daily emails to CS main in bin
• Intake and circulate daily mail received
• Process and manage registration for CS programs: Continuing Education, Professional Institute for Educators, Saturday Arts Lab, Saturday School, and Summer Institute
• Maintain student registration files, including problem registrations
• Process daily credit card receipts and check verifications
• Scan and send CS student records to Office of the Registrar
• Fulfill student requests for receipts, grade reports, refunds, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree required
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required
• Attention to detail and minimal errors related to data processing tasks required
• Knowledge working with Datatel Colleague or similar database is preferred
