Job description
TCC is looking for a creative, driven and skilled senior evaluation consultant. The Senior Evaluation Consultant’s primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, designing, managing, and conducting evaluations for the firm’s philanthropic, nonprofit, and corporate clients. The Senior Evaluation Consultant is a full-time employee. TCC has offices in New York, Philadelphia and San Francisco. Preference for this position is for New York, though qualified candidates for other offices will be considered.
The Senior Evaluation Consultant will work in a team-based environment that values self-motivation, creative risk-taking, informal learning and flexibility. TCC does formative and summative evaluations, with an emphasis on learning and applicability. The work products created and/or supervised by the Senior Evaluation Consultant would be expected to meet standards of the highest quality consistent with the firm’s goals and our clients’ needs. Responsibilities:
- Designing and conducting summative and formative evaluations for nonprofit organizations, funders, and corporate social responsibility programs.
- Designing evaluation plans and systems with nonprofit organizations and funders, including facilitating Logic Model processes with key stakeholders.
- Participating in client engagements at all levels, frequently as a senior leader of a project team; developing project work plans and budgets; meeting with clients over the course of the project; leading and facilitating meetings with boards, staffs, other stakeholders and observers; conducting and documenting interviews and focus groups; compiling and analyzing information gleaned from diverse sources; preparing reports including writing, formatting and editing; and preparing and making presentations.
- Providing day-to-day project management. This includes maintaining regular contact with clients, monitoring project budgets and work plans, and supervising other Consultants, Analysts and affiliates.
- Participating in firm marketing and sales efforts including attending meetings with prospective clients, drafting proposals, assisting in preparation of firm marketing materials, designing and conducting workshops and/or webinars, presenting in conferences, writing briefing papers and working as part of a marketing team(s) in development and implementation of marketing strategies to engage new clients.
- Help lead the evaluation practice, including innovative thought leadership, practice oversight, etc.
- Supervision of relevant staff.
