PA One Book Reader Survey Now Open
Once again we are looking for volunteer readers to read the featured book, Stripes of All Types by Susan Stockdale to children within Early Care and Education settings. This engaging book depicts diversity as well as a cadre of characters who each bring their own spin on the action by using simple text and colorful photographs. Stripes of All Types encourages young readers to predict and discuss different types of animals and how there are similarities and difference.
This year we will be hosting a month long celebration of the PA One Book starting on April 1, 2014. This will lead up to and include the Week of the Young Child (WOYC), April 6-12, 2014. At this time we are asking for volunteer readers to read within Early Care and Educations program including Childcare centers, Pennsylvania Pre- K Counts Classrooms and Head Start programs. What a wonderful opportunity to read to some of the Commonwealth’s youngest learners!
