Position: Part Time Controller
Organization: Public Citizens for Children and Youth is a Philadelphia based organization focused on Improving the lives and life chances of our region’s children through thoughtful and informed advocacy.
Job Description: The Controller will be responsible for the management of the finance function of the organization including internal and external reporting, financial planning and budgeting, monthly and year end closings, audits and governmental reporting.
Duties will include:
– Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
– Report financial results at monthly Executive Committee meetings and quarterly Finance Committee meetings.
– Reconcile bank accounts.
– Track performance of invested assets and prepare monthly summary report.
– Prepare annual budget.
– Coordinate all audit activity
– Coordinate preparation of annual Form 990.
– Work closely with Development and Program staff for donor proposals and reporting.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
– Progressive accounting experience.
– Non Profit financial experience preferred.
– Experience with Quick Books a plus.
– Excellent knowledge and command of Excel.
– Attention to detail.
