The Intergenerational Center at Temple University
The Intergenerational Center at Temple University is seeking a part- time Program Coordinator for Time Out, an award-winning program in Philadelphia that mobilizes college students to provide in-home respite services to families caring for frail elders. The Program Coordinator will work with the Program Director to recruit, screen, and train students. The Program Coordinator will identify and assess families, conduct home visits to match students with families, monitor the provision of respite services and providing support to families and student workers. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities:
*Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office programs and related equipment (database, spreadsheet, fax and copy machine.)
*Demonstrated ability to prioritize work well.
*Demonstrated ability to relate to diverse populations.
*Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
*Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, gerontology, behavioral science, or in another related healthcare field.
*Two years experience working in the field of aging.
*This is a part-time grant funded position.
