Welcoming Center issues report on Bucks County immigrants
The Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians has issued its latest data snapshot on immigrants in the Philadelphia region, this one focused on Bucks County.
Over the last 20 years, Lower Bucks has been transformed by a growing immigrant presence. The majority of these newcomers come from Europe and Asia.
The snapshot shows that 61% of Bucks County immigrants have become naturalized US citizens, compared to 45% nationwide.The top 5 countries of origin for Bucks County immigrants are India, Ukraine, Mexico, China, and Russia. And 43% of immigrants in Bucks have college degrees.
