In this article, Psychologist and Research Professor Peter Gray argues that children today are cossetted and pressured in equal measure, and that without the freedom to play, they will never grow up. Furthermore, he highlights how the decline in opportunity to play has also been accompanied by a decline in characteristics such as empathy and a rise in narcissism. Aeon Magazine.
