United Communities Southeast Philadelphia has openings for Assistant Group Supervisors in our Out-of-School time Program. This position involves the care of children in an assigned group under the guidance and supervision of the Group Supervisor, in order to meet their physical, emotional, social and cognitive needs. For the majority of time, the Group Leader works in an indoor classroom, however he/she is also responsible for the caring of children at the playground, on trips and at public events. The Assistant Group Supervisor assists the Group Supervisor in both planning and implementing a variety of learning and program activities to meet the needs of the children.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED (some college credits a plus)
Minimum of 2 years experience working with youth in a child care/educational environment
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work with diverse population
Goal and task oriented
Must be able to work half-days and whole days, when needed
Current Criminal, Child Abuse and FBI fingerprint clearances (required)
