ASAP/After School Activities Partnerships Releases Annual After School Directory
On Wednesday, September 11, ASAP will release its annual Directory of After School Enrichment Activities, published as a supplement to the Philadelphia Daily News. The Directory is a resource to connect parents, caregivers and youth workers with high-quality programs to keep the city’s young people safe and stimulated in the dangerous after school hours. For convenience, it is organized by zip code and includes information on thousands of activities from hundreds of sites across the city. As the School District’s financial issues have diminished the number of traditional school-based programs, ASAP’s Directory is a valuable tool for families seeking alternative options in their communities.
The Directory is also maintained and updated regularly on ASAP’s website, http://www.phillyasap.org, and includes search features to make finding the right program easy.
If you have information on other programs that should be included in the Directory, as well as corrections, additions or if you would like to request printed copies of the Directory, please contact Paul Carroll at 215-545-2727, ext. 11 or by email at pcarroll@phillyasap.org.
