Hughes sets community mental health conference
PA State Sen. Vincent Hughes will sponsor Breaking the Silence on Mental Wellness. Real Talk. Real Help. Real Solutions, a two-day conference on Friday, December 13th and Saturday, December 14th that will connect professionals, educators, caregivers and consumers to specialists and organizations who provide resources and information in the mental and behavioral health fields.
The event will feature an array of workshops and resources to assist professionals and consumers in topic areas such as depression, trauma, recovery, substance abuse, strategies for healing and coping, anger management, Alzheimer’s and Dementia, ADHD & ODD, the effects of medication, misdiagnosis, schizophrenia and more.
The event planners are seeking workshop presenters, workshop panelists, and referrals for other presenters and facilitators.
