Job Description – Manager, Foundation and Corporate Relations
Department: Development
Classification: Exempt
Reports to: Vice President, Resource and Business Development
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary:
The Manager, Foundation and Corporate Relations is responsible for all aspects of foundation and corporate grant identification, application, submission, and stewardship/compliance reporting; maintains relationships with existing funders and seeks new funding opportunities; collaborates with PEC staff counterparts to submit proposals and report on results; maintains a system to track the status of all grants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
– Conduct research that identifies potential new prospects to fund specific projects/programs.
– Review potential foundation and corporate foundation funding sources to gauge the fit with agency mission/programs and make recommendations for pursuit.
– Draft and edit proposals and Letters of Intent tailored to meet the funder’s guidelines.
– Create and manage a fiscal year calendar of projected foundation and corporate foundation activity, including grants to be renewed and new potential sources.
– Coordinate with fiscal staff and program staff to acquire information needed to create proposals/report on results in a timely fashion.
– Communicate approved funding with goals/requirements in writing to program directors and follow up quarterly to recap progress against requirements, identify any shortfalls and develop plan of action to amend them.
– Coordinate site visits by monitors and funders.
– Review status of grants monthly or more frequently as needed with VP Resource and Business Development to identify progress against financial goals.
– Identify strategies to secure corporate support beyond corporate foundation opportunities.

Required Education and Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of relevant work experience
– Documented experience demonstrating success in acquiring and managing foundation, corporate and/or government grants
Preferred Education and Experience:
– Master’s Degree
