URBAN FARM BIKE TOUR
Saturday, September 7 @ 8am
Greensgrow Farm, 2501 E. Cumberland, North Philly
This is the 8th annual Urban Farm Bike Tour organized by Weavers Way and a great way to check out a lot of POP orchards and other fantastic urban farms! A longer and shorter route are featured this year and POP sites on the tour include Teens 4 Good, Bartram’s Garden, Awbury Arboretum, Grumblethorpe, Walnut Hill, and Mill Creek. BARTRAM’S ORCHARD CARE DAY
Saturday, September 14 @ 10am
Bartram’s Garden, 5400 Lindbergh Blvd, West Philly
Lend a hand with weeding and clearing understory at the site of Philadelphia’s largest orchard. A great opportunity to check out historic Bartram’s Garden, the innovative community farm run by the Urban Nutrition Initiative, and the wide array of fruit growing in the orchard.
