2013 LGBTQ Emerging Needs Request For Proposals For Grants Of Up To $10,000

This year the Delaware Valley Legacy Fund celebrates 20 years of meeting the emerging needs of the LGBT community. The organization was created in 1993 to benefit the Philadelphia region’s LGBT community by raising money for a permanent endowment. DVLF fosters positive change every year though advocacy, grantmaking, scholarships, programming and education.

We prioritize programs designed to meet new needs or which promote promising new solutions to existing needs. While we fund organizations with varied operating budgets, we are interested in programs where our grants will be most impactful.

Eligibility

We are accepting applications from 501(c)3 organizations (or organizations under a 501(c)3 fiscal sponsor). Organizations must serve constituents within Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, or Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania; Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, or Gloucester counties in NJ; or New Castle County in Delaware.

At least 75% of the entire constituency served by the organization or program must be LGBT-identified. Organizations serving communities of color and low-income constituencies are encouraged to apply.

Awards

DVLF will award grants of up to $10,000. Typical grant size is around $5,000.

We do not fund multi-year grants.

Submission

Deadline: Friday, August 30, 2013.

Awardees will be selected in late September.

If current financial information is not submitted, a proposal is considered incomplete. Only complete proposals will be accepted for consideration.
